Hi,
Though not life-threatening, the animated smilies on here are static on my home comp. I suspect that I have buggered up the internet settings somehow, if so, what have i ticked/unticked this time??

In Internet Explorer, try -
Tool / Internet Options
Click the Advanced tab
Under Multimedia, check if Play animations in web pages is ticked0 -

I've had this problem too and when I got an update for some reason it reset everything ....................go into zonealarm and 'privacy' and 'ad blocking'
check that it hasn't blocked your animations........worth a try0 -

You are right, the option had been reset, I have unticked it, rebooted and it it's still static!

The Trusted Sites workaround didn't work.
