    Hiya all :hello:

I did it! Got paid by three ms comps over the weekend. So my total for July is £476.47. :j (which isn't bad as I didnt get around to ebaying very much).

I'm putting myself down for £5 a day for August as we are on hol for a bit of it.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine
  • Well I worked through the tips for TCB and Quidco this weekend and made £17 so far, plus I won a £40 voucher for virgin wines!

This morning I have done a two questionaires and my first mystery shop... so have made £8.75.

I am having a mini clearout this afternoon to find stuff to sell on eBay!

£1.73 to add for yesterday as I used a WHsmith voucher I got from a survey to buy something in there so I'll 'pay' my challenge fund the money.

    Then:

£19.04 profit from 2 ebay sales that finished yesterday, went to the same person so postage even easier.

£3.30 profit from a book I sold on Amazon - email came through when the ebay ones did, first sale in over a month.

Did my first self employed mystery shop today, worked out profit should be about £4 but won't count that until I get the money so will be a nice addition for the end of August ;)

Current total: £130.12 - very close but unlikely to make £25 before Thursday unless I get a rush on Amazon
    Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
Initial Mortgage free date - January 2058
    Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98
    Overpayments to date - £79.62
Current Mortgage free date - January 2058

Hi all. No personal updates for me but I have just saved my OH nearly £60 on his car insurance renewal-he was going to stick with his usual broker and I hunted on the web (as taught by this website :D ) so he's a happy bunny and nearly £60 better off that he would have been...wonder if I can get him to take me out for a meal later this week...(2 for a tenner-obviously!!! :D )

Hey ho - another month, another fail!! (although yes, I know, it's all money I would't have had before!!)

Made £1.98 on Ebay woooooooo - riches!
Made £20 on 2 Mystery shops - got a couple booked for August so that should get me off to a reasonable start
    Made £1.03 on Dooyoo...

And thats about all! I have been doing my surveys but not been so good about clicks so might force myself to start them again to poss get some payouts in Aug - its been ages! Am off to check my surveys and then will add to my rather pathetic total :o

Remembered my car boot - £20 (another wooooooo!!) and added up my clicks/surveys £8.91 making £51.20... off to add to my sig now :)

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Sorry I know this is off subject, but I was just wondering if anyone knows if there's a forum like this for savings. Since we've managed to pay off the mortgage and haven't any debts, in addition to the grocery and earn extra challenges, I've also set myself a savings target challenge, so that we don't fritter away the money that we were spending to pay the mortgage and just wondered if there were any like minded souls on MSE talking about the same sort of things? Thanks as always.
MFW Challenge (Tgt Date Nov 07): ACHIEVED FEB 07!
Mthly Savings (Tgt 60% of Inc): Average 41.67% (but we have just paid for a new kitchen!)
    Savings Goal £500k (Target Date 50th B'Day Nov 17): 30.41%

If you go on the DFW board, there is a sticky on there started by Marru, it tells you all the different current challenges, there are some good savings challenges on there.

    Hi everybody,

I have been looking at this thread, it looks really good, can I join the only real debt i have is my mortgage and it's a fixed rate, but they do allow me to overpay 10% per year, I need to overpay as much as I can because the remortgage is due on December 2009, if the credit crunch is still around it will be difficult to get a good deal, the lower the loan to value rate the better the deal I should get, and there is also the arrangement fee to find, from £500 - £1000, when I took out my current mortgage it was free to set up.

Can you only count the money towards your £10 per day when it is in your account?

I do Quidco, TopCashBack, Homepages Friends, Wabba Dabba, Pigsback, and just started Ebay.

I am looking for any easy money earning ideas, I have done slice the pie, too much effort for to little gain, I don't want to do surveys, any other ideas?

To start with on Sunday I bought a camera tripod worth about £30, for £1.50 still new in it's box, I was going to buy one from Jessops, but I always say if you leave it long enough you will find it at the carboot for a fraction of the cost new.
