Tips please for getting a good new phone contract..
Hi all.
My O2 deal is coming to an end in 8 weeks. £20 a month i pay for 400 mins and 1000 texts. However I want a change, the data charges for wap etc on O2 are a joke.
I need about what i have at the moment. No more. 400mins, 1000 texts perfect for me.
I would like some advice on company/package etc. I am thinking of the 3 £25 a month deal of 500mins, unlimited texts at present. I get msn, yahoo etc but no internet access with that deal.
If i decided on this contract is it worth going into a shop and trying to get a better deal? I.e The internet add on for free, or a cheaper line rental, I am not sure what movement companies have on new customers (ob. retention is different!).
Or should I look to a company like Carphone warehouse? will they be able to beat deals, offer more etc.
So £25ish, 400 mins and 1000 texts ish. and hopefully some internet browsing as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Ben

O2 CPW?
Here is the deal you can get with them,
17 months free (via cashback every 6 months - £200 EACH TIME)
600 mins, 1000txts, plus a choice of a number of bolt-ons including a 200mb internet usage each month.0 -
I have just re-negotiated my contract with O2 and got 1400 anytime, any network minutes and 2000 texts for £30 pm with O2. I am SO happy with this - it will cover all my calls and texts. I did it by asking them to price match to T Mobile... AND I opted for £150 credit on my account instead of a new phone - which works out as 5 months free! Could I have done better? Actually, not sure if I want to know :-)0
