Operation Christmas Child
Hi, my daughter's school is doing Operation Christmas Child. She is really excited and we have filled the box and it is all ready to go. However, I have had a look on the website and now feel a bit uncomfortable. I have no concern about supporting charities with a religious basis etc. However, this one seems quite…

Nice way of saying no thanks?
Every year for the past few years, my brother and his wife (and sometimes their grown up son as well) have bought me either a Jo Malone candle or a reed diffuser at Christmas. I don't want to seem ungrateful, but they are so expensive (for what they are) and I don't actually like the smells. (I am more of a Yankee Candle…

Cheap chocolate tree decorations that don't taste hideous?
Any ideas? All I ever seem to see are the Cadbury ones in the shape of parcels, and they are very expensive for what they are. A few years back I picked some up that were like baubles, but I can't for the life of me remember where from.

Personalised baubles- has anyone seen similiar cheaper?

Could you do with improving your Christmas budgeting?
Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat - but can you work out discounts, percentages and VAT? If so, it could help you save some pennies (or more) by taking advantage of the Black Friday deals this week. If not, you could be at risk of spending more than you intended in the run up to Christmas. If you struggle with…

Sick of buying tat - help?
So it seems like the shops have filled with Christmas tat over night, and every year I end up buying rubbish just for the sake of giving someone a gift. Really trying to kick against that this year as I can't afford to waste money. Can anyone recommend Christmas gifts that aren't going to end up forgotten or abandoned?

Ideas on how to give coins as a present?
My son and daughter in law are planning to go to Australia next year. Instead of a regular Christmas gift they have asked if we could give them £2 coins so that they can put it straight in their Australia fund piggy bank. They did something similar when saving for their wedding and it was amazing how quickly all the £2…

Gift Cards Deals / Discounts?
I've got a few gift cards to buy for Xmas presents. I seem to remember in previous years that some retailers will do offers on them at certain times where you get 10-20% off certain cards? For some reason Morrisons is at the back of my mind? does anyone know if there are any deals coming up? Thanks!

M+S vouchers for team?
I should preface this by saying I don't really do Xmas. But I changed jobs in August and now have a team of 6 under me. They're a fab bunch with very different tastes (2 in their 40s, 3 in their 50s and 1 in their 20s). Theyre quite into Xmas, so I'm thinking I should probably get them something. Would a £10 m+s voucher be…
