Help with child support issue
Hiya. There was another thread about charging orders, but I didn't want to hijack. I'm currently owed a 'fair few' thousand in unpaid child maintenance (it was a REMO as the NRP isn't in the UK) and there's no sign of him paying any arrears (or maintenance). He owns 2 mortgaged properties with his wife, and 1/3 of a…

My partner has received a letter from Child Maintenance Services here in Northern Ireland. The letter states he has been named as the parent of a child of his ex girlfriend. He is well aware there is a CHANCE that he is the father of this child and if that is the case then he is more than willing to pay the maintenance…

Around 2006 my partner and I seperated for around 18 months, it was a difficult time and I involved CSA. He did not pay any money to them during that period. Fast forward to now and we have been back together for the last 8 years. They have been collecting arrears of around £4000 from him for the last few years. My query…

Do I get a reduction for paying a mortgage?
I'm moving out in a couple of weeks and I'll have a mortgage to pay for, I'll be living on my own. I was told by a family member that my monthly CMS payments would be reduced if I tell them I have a mortgage, but I didn't think having a mortgage would affect my payments. Is it worth pursuing? Thanks

CSA to CMS: proof of income
I wonder if anyone can tell me what evidence of income the CMS will want to see from my children's father when our CSA comes to an end? The situation is this: We are on CSA2. There was a large arrears on the case, built up over many years of underpayment. This occurred because, although he knew what he needed to pay, he…

CMS and a tax free pension lump sum...
Hello I've studied the rules of the Child Maintenance Service regarding what is included in income when they make a child support calculation, however one issue still seems unclear. Under the new pension rules, from age 55 you can take the first 25% of your pension as a tax free lump sum, either all at once or in stages.…

Has anyone had any issues with CMS using out of date tax year figures? They did this and my partner continued to pay…
