Panasonic VHS/DVR recorder - cannot use EPG if you have cable
I recently purchased a Panasonic DMR EX99 VHS/DVD recorder/Freeview+ box (had asked how to set it in a previous post). It has around 50 rave reviews on Amazon and after some difficulty (manual is very complex) I did manage to record from VHS to DVD. However I then thought I would use the EPG preset timer function (Guide +)…

Google recording browsing history?
If I am logged onto Google (for its reader or calendar) does this record browsing history externally? If so can this be avoided through switching to private browsing in IE9? presumably if I log out of Google it doesn't but it is a pain to keep logging in and out of Google.

Recommend a TV
Your recommendations please, want a 42" TV, budget £500. Had a peep in Curry's at the 3D TV's, was impressed. Are they worth getting or is it a flash in the pan thing? If we did get a 3D TV where do you get 3D content from? Do you need a special DVD player? Thanks in advance for any input.

PC Headphone 'broken off' in laptop
Hello I wonder if anyone could help me with a question. I bought a pair of (admittedly) cheap headphines for my son to use on his laptop for xmas. Fast forward not many days and he has had to 'wiggle' them about quite a lot to get consistent volume. During a 'wiggle' the metal snapped off and is now stuck in the volume…

Cannot access BT email page
This is going to sound really daft. Having swapped over a month ago from AOL to BT, and not really bothered about setting up BT email accounts (we are still using the old AOL accounts), I finally decided that today was going to be the day when we swapped all our stuff over, and got our BT accounts up and running. A month…

Can anyone please recommend a disk defrag tool/software ?
My OH has just got an old PC with XP on it. For info, it didn't cost anything. He has used the standard Windows defrag tool (progs>accessories>system tool>disk defragmenter) for the C: drive but, although it has helped a bit, it is still very defragged. Can anyone please recommend another tool or software that will help.…
