Your experiences with RBS?
Hi All My current deal with Egg is due to finish in Oct, so I'm considering applying for the RBS Platinum. Previously I've had £15K limits and am hoping for the same. What experiences have you all had with this card? Should I be looking at another card? Thanks for reading:D BFF

Getting cash into a current account
What methods are people using to get the cash into a current account? MBNA seem to be the only ones that do a transfer into a current account now. I used to use Egg but they seem to charge now too.

Sky extend 0% offer until July 07!
Got a letter from Skycard this morning explaining that the 0% interest on purchases and transfers has been extended from 1st April until 1st July. Another 3 months interest - not a bad stooze! Just got to get them to increase the credit limit now.

Stroud & Swindon: fee or no fee?
I just applied for a Stroud & Swindon c/c, based on it being included in the "zero fee" category on the site, only to receive an application form from The Co-operative Bank, who run the card, showing a balance transfer fee of 2%! Anyone else discovered this? Looks like the S&S card no longer qualifies for the zero fee…

M&S fee free BT
hello all just thought I'd let you lot know about M&S the &more card. My 0% finished in July, and I'd paid off the card in preparation ready to close it. I phoned up yesterday and asked if what deal they could give me on a new BT. The chap went away for a bit, and then came back and said I can give you another 6 months at…

Stoozing and Mortgages - dilemma
Hi My mortgage (2 year fixed 4.99% on £180K) is nearing the end of it's introductory 2 years so i went to see a mortgage broker. She asked me all about my finances including my credit card debts. I explained that i owed £4600 to virgin on a 0% deal but that all of that money was in savings accounts. £3000 an ISA and £1600…

Middle-to-Advanced Stoozing Routes
Hello there... In the spirit of understanding stoozing better, I want to check if I understand something correctly. If I were using the "Middle Route" for stoozing (i.e., Egg Money and 0% BT cards) and wanted to make the money work harder, I would opt for the "Advanced Route" and have the money transferred (SBT through…

BT Fee or not??
Can anyone help me with this? I have just found a 0% for 9 months BT card but in the summary box for the card under the "Charges" for Balance Transfer Fees the following is stated: "2% or minimum £2 (on promotional rates except introductory offer)". My understanding of this is that no BT fee would be due if the BT was made…

GE Transformation card refusal
Hi, just wanted to know if anyone had any problems with applying for a card off this bunch that Martin recommends. Also taking an age…

Please help - have we ruined our stooze card?
Hi all., We got a HBOS charity credit card - no fee for balance transfer and 6 months 0% free. We put £1,550 onto it 6 weeks ago. Question 1: My OH bought an Ipod for me for my birthday 3 weeks ago on this card (I did not realise, only found out yesterday and I know Martin says never ever spend on these cards) - has this…

Barclaycard's '0% forever' (old deal)
[This is about an offer which is no longer available from BC but the card will be held by many members here:] A small point occurs about the 0% LOB card from Barclaycard. I always assumed that I would pay it off entirely once the standard rate balance (minimum purchases plus rolled up interest) was just equal to the amount…

Egg - BT fee... or maybe not...
I asked to cancel my Egg Green credit card as there didn't seem much point in keeping it now that they charge a BT fee, which is what I told Egg when they phoned me up and tried to talk me out of it. But then I got an odd response. The guy said the BT fee was not always being applied. Naturally I seized on that and tried…
