Global Small Cap Index, thoughts please
My first foray into investing is £20k in Vanguard's S&S ISA. If you've seen my other posts you'll know my overall objectives and goals. I've already put £10k to work in the LS100 product. The remaining £10k will be invested this week, within Vanguard's range of funds. I'm not sure if the following comes under the…

Moneycorp Bank and the Gibraltar Deposit Guarantee Scheme
I’m looking at putting some money away to pay CGT next January, and Moneycorp Bank is currently offering 0.65% on its 90 day notice account. However, it is not covered by the FSCS but €100,000 seems to be covered by the Gibraltar Deposit Guarantee Scheme. Is anyone able to share their experience of using Moneycorp Bank or…

Switching Funds
When you switch isa funds within your chosen platform, are you always out of the market for a period? I see on Fidelity's website that when you choose to switch funds you'll be out of the market for 48hrs. For some reason I never gave a thought to there being a delay due to the sell/buy process.

Serious Cash
I have a few hundred thousand pounds sitting in various accounts earning derisory interest. I am going to need all of this money at the end of 2022 to pay for a building project. (Although I could pay for it via a Lombard Loan, but it's not in my nature). Could I be doing better that getting less than half a percent from…

Vanguard Help
Hello, It appears that I cannot actually buy shares on Vanguard - instead I get a 'wrapper' called an equity fund, is that correct? There are over 20 of these to choose from, all with different risk scores and rates of return. is it not possible to build my own individual stock portfolio on Vanguard - if not, where can I…

Moving a IT to another platform?
Am I correct in believing that I cannot move an IT held in HL Vantage to a Fidelity ISA? If my assumption is correct? that means that I would have to sell the IT, transfer the sale cash to my bank account and purchase the IT in my Fidelity ISA? Can any one confirm that I understand this correctly? If I am correct? then I…

Platform and Fund Recommendation - S&S ISA
I have around £30,000 in a Flex Cash ISA and £50,000 in Premium Bonds. I’m looking to open a S&S ISA to transfer the £30,000 into a S&S ISA. First question, is it possible to transfer the £30k from a cash ISA into a S&S ISA, or can I only open a S&S ISA with £20k? Second question, what is the best platform in terms of…
