Does any one know if the self employed grant counts towards the minimum earning level to be eligible for the above scheme ?

Savings protection 85k
Asking on behalf of my father, he has a savings account with clydesdale bank with substantially more than the 85k protection limit. Am i right in thinking if he was too deposit 85k into say TSB account he would be protected on both the accounts at the same time?? Thanx

Martin’s savings site recommends UBL bank for Fixed Term Savings. Is anyone else having trouble with them or is it only me?

Expired Cheque
I closed my saving account from principality building society, and asked for a cheque, I totally forgot to deposit into my current account, now the cheque has expired (issue April 2020), it is a small amount of £3 Will they reissue the cheque for free? If they request a fee, what right have I got to get my money back?

Tandem offering 0.60% on 1 yr fixed but 1.05% on MSE
I have a 1 yr fixed saver with Tandem due to mature and they've emailed saying I can reinvest for another year at 0.60%. However on looking on MSE I see Tandem are offering 1.05% for a 1 yr fixed. Why haven't they offered me the better rate?

Best ideas for investment
I have £20000 to invest, I have already taken up my yearly allowance with stocks and shares isa, and don’t want to tie this up for too long, so I was looking for probably a one year fixed account, the best one I can see is with the union bank of India or tandem with a 1.05 interest rate, unless you guys have any more ideas?
