How do I make my inheritance safe from unfaithful husband
I am just starting the divorce process from my husband. I'm 51, been married 22 years and together for 31 years. He's having a long term affair which is continuing. Both my parents passed away the last 4 years and I recently sold their house. I have 650K which I need to use to buy myself and 2 young children a house…

Ishares SEMS ETF delisting
I just got a "corporate action" notice saying that one of my ETFs has delisted from the LSE, but the note wasn't very informative at all. Is it fair to assume that the fund will remain listed (under a different name, obviously) on other exchanges? I assume that if the fund were closing altogether the event would be called…

Ongoing use of IFA
Last year's resolution was to sort my finances out, and in about February I duly signed up with a financial adviser to manage my pension fund and ISA investments (around £950k and £150k respectively). The charge is 0.8% appplied to my pension fund only, so about 0.7% overall for total funds under management. I was assuming…

Savings Accounts for 17 year old
Hi, I'm going round in circles a bit trying to decide the best options. My son is 17 and has a part time job and is earning up to £300 a month. He currently has a tsb under 19s account 2.5% with about £1000 but is wanting to put some of his money away so he doesn't spend it straight away. He also has about £300 in an old…

Savings for retired parents
Hello all. I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but I can't seem to find a straightforward answer on gov.uk or similar websites... I understand that a basic rate taxpayer can earn £1000 in interest from savings before tax is deducted by the bank or building society, but does the same rule also apply once you have…

Any good share/fund price websites?
Hi I am searching for a good website that will allow me not only to look at share/fund prices but also so i can import the prices into excel automatically. I think google finance and yahoo finance used to allow you to do this but they have now stopped you from importing data into excel. Any free suggestions would be great…

Have IWeb suddenly become more expensive than even HL for Funds?
Hi all, Just came across this page http://www.iweb-sharedealing.co.uk/Landing-Pages/coming-soon.asp and in particular the Costs and Charges PDF there. Credit Card Round Up Savings
Hi There, Looking at several ways to push more of my precious pennies into my ISA account, (which, btw, I'm not sure I'm using correctly but it holds my money, so meh!) I've been hearing about these transactions rounding up services, where you take a purchase and it pushes the rest of the pennies into an investment. From…

Bull market, how long for?
When I started work I was told 'a Bull market always climbs a wall of worry', how much further does this Bull market have to run? Vanguard LifeStrategy 40 for LISA - Good plan?

NS&I Maturing Bond
I took out a NS&I 65+ Guaranteed Growth Bond in January 2015. I invested £10,000 at the interest rate of 4% Gross/AER. I expected the maturing bond to be worth £11248.64 which is 3 years compounded at 4% with interest calculated annually but the letter tells me the maturing fund is £11,163.29. Can anybody explain why?
