Hi everyone I’m new to the forum and thought I’d join as I’ve been lurking for a while and feel I’d like to get a bit more involved. I’m looking for advice really, I’m 30 and have just started investing after years of crippling debts prevented me from saving any money.
Any advice or pointers on where I’m going wrong or could improve would be much appreciated
Since May 2017 I’ve invested £4000
£960 in Lindsell train Global Equity
£1500 in Vanguard global equity
£1000 in BlackRock Global property
£300 in Fever Tree shares
£250 in a Bitcoin tracker - I have this as a complete gamble and am well aware it could turn out to be worthless but is quite a bit up from what I bought it at despite the recent drop. My plan is just to hold it and see where it is after 5 years
As of next year I’m aiming to save £800 a month and funnel it into the funds I have (I’ll leave Bitcoin and Fever Tree where they are and just see what happens)
Is this a decent investment strategy? I’m a complete novice at this, my family never discussed this kind of thing and I’m trying to learn via forums and other peoples experiences
Thanks for your help!

Obviously, you don't appear to mind extreme high risk. Although its only £4000. So, losing half of it isnt going to be much of an issue. However, it may be when you start adding £800pm and a number of years have gone by.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for the reply! When you say I don’t mind “Extreme high risk”, would you say the funds I have chosen classify as that?
I know the Bitcoin tracker is a complete high risk gamble but I only invested £140 as a kind of “What the Hell!” type investment0
