Me again - having a general rant today. I have several HSBC accounts and use online banking. They are pretty good at informing you of interest rate changes unlike other banks. Children's entitlement to BS merger windfall
I've been looking for this information for a long time but but just can't find any 'solid' answers, I'm hoping someone here will be able to point me in the right direction. Myself and each of my three children had savings accounts with Staffordshire building society. Shortly following the birth of each child my mother…

Need advice on investing cash
Hi all, Just recently came into some cash (35,000) which I need to invest ASAP. Trouble is there is so much conflicting information out there and I'm so confused. How do these work?
I'm refering to Ishares FTSE 100 Nav. Am I right in thinking that if the FTSE 100 index is 3900 say, if I were to buy a thousand shares, would that cost me around £3,900, then the value would increase/decrease in line with the FTSE index, cheers

Fixed Term Account closure penalties
On the death of a holder of a fixed term savings account, are the closure penalties automatically waived, or does it vary from provider to provider? Is there a hard and fast rule that covers all providers? Sorry to start the week off with a depressing question!
