we need a savers revolt against falling rates
its about time we the silent savers stood up .i for one am suffering a fall in income which is not my fault isnt it time we said ennough ? maybe threaten to all draw our cash out . I recon 1 week of cash withdrawn would really worry the the banks and government .

advice wanted re: savings
i have a small amount of savings which are taxed, however i offset the interest with the tax, so my original amount stays more or less the same. as long as i can do this , i am ok however, now with interest rates being lowered, does it mean my original amount will decrease? as i will still have to pay tax on balance

Halifax Guaranteed Saver Terms?
Hi, Can anyone confirm for sure the withdrawal terms for Hfx Guaranteed Saver 6.25% opened June 18th 2008. The current terms on line have changed and I cant find mine. From memory I think I can make 1 withdrawal, provided £5000 remains, without losing the fixed interest rate. Is that correct?

I am a pensioner, relying on interest from my savings to live on. It is time all pensioners voiced their concerns over the way we savers are being ripped off by this government. If we all withdrew our savings from the banks the government would have to listen!
