Gross/Net interest?
I am currently registered to get gross interest on my B.Soc accounts. Due to a windfall I may exceed the limit and need to de-register later in the year. My monthly income account payments will not exceed the amount, but one annual interest account paying interest on 31 March may tip the scales. If I inform them just prior…

Abbey 7.01% ends 30th June
Just a heads up that the Abbey 1 year bond at 7.01% is being pulled at the end of the day on Monday. I'm sure most MSEs who are interested will have jumped on this offer already, but hopefully someone will find this useful.

I want to know if things went Ts up and a share dealing centre went bust…

Kaupthing Edge interest question
Hi, I've worked out my interest for my Kaupthing Edge account and I've calculated over 9 days I should have got £1.05 interest. However the site shows £1.02. I know it's only 3p and I should worry about other things ;) but I'm just curious. They state 6.50% AER, my sums are based on this and use the following formulae: =…

Bradford and Bingley Life offer
Just seen an ad on the tele for Bradford and Bingley. Apparently they are offering a savings account at BoE rate + .25% for life. I am always wary of "for life" offers, it seems they can change the T&C's like most providers with 30 days notice. Its by no means a best buy at the moment anyway.

Hi, I am rather in the dark about my ISA as it was arranged for me by a financial advisor. It is a Sterling ISA which I gather is not a good start! Is it possible to transfer funds into a cash ISA or should I cash it in and re-invest? I hope this isn't a stupid question!!

Already have some more concentrated investments which are higher risk. Were investing in cash ISA's, but have ceased these for the mo. Of the…
