Could someone kindly let me know one or two of the best books on this topic AND a few of the best analysis tools available.
Many thanks.

Depends whether you are talking about fundamental analysis or technical analysis.
One book on the technical side would be Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques, Second Edition by Steve Nison. Expensive though, and to be honest I'd say you can find most of the info on the web for free if you are prepard to do the "leg work" so to speak.
For tools of technical analysis there used to be quite a bit of information free at stockcharts.com
A bloke called Michael Thomsett has done a few books on fundamental analysis from basic to further, I've never read any of his, but you could look around and see what sort of reviews they got.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!
