Buying shares for kids
Hi, I want to buy some shares for my kids, partly to teach them about how shares work but also as part of savings towards uni. Because I'm using this to help teach them, I want to be able to buy shares in identifiable companies, rather than in funds, and to be able to buy them in the kids' names. The amounts I'm buying…

1 million CTF vouchers have been ignored
Up to December 2007 the number of Child Trust Fund vouchers issued to date has been 3.5m+ whereas the number of CTF vouchers invested by parents has been 2.5m- Does this show that parents don't understand or are just too busy? Of the parents who invested, just under 25% have chosen cash CTFs with building societies.

Banks vs Building Societies
I currently have my savings with the Building Society. Is it safer to have you money with a building society than a bank. Are their loans linked to their savings as a ratio? Not like the banks which seem to have parcels of strange debt that consists of who knows what. Many Thx Posh

Post Office Five Year Saver
Looking to invest some money (Min £1k). Don't mind a bit of risk in terms of a return, liked the look of the PO offer. Effectively, half is a flat rate and half is against the FTSE100 index and a return is calculated at the end of the 5 year period.…

My partner and I have an investment through financial advisors that were recommended to us by friends. However, we're not sure if we should stick with them or not. We invested £90,000 with them at the start. We have had £1,800 taken off in fees to them and the company that holds our portfolio. We have about £40,000 in cash…

Just realised interest rate is…
