Should I agree?

So they said that if I don't want to sign this they will turn up tommorrow asking the judge for stay. What should I do? After…

My very first post here. But I`m always lurking. :T I claimed bank charges on behalf of my son (before court case was announced). Barclays offered him a lower amount, with a letter stating, that, if he accepted the lower amount, it would be in, full & final payment. He decided to accept this, incase the test case was lost.…

Can I reclaim my £80 county court fee back.
When I first got a county court against my bank to claim my bank charges back, I never realised that students can do it for free. I paid £80 but do you think that it might be possible if I show information that I have been a full time student in the last 3 years that I can claim my £80 back?!

Hi, Thank you for a great website and for helping so many people. I submitted my court claim in early July this year and I received a letter from Barclay's stating that because of the test case they would not make any decision on the case. I then received a letter from Wandsworth County Court setting a court date for the…

Usual Blah Blah response - Help!
Hello all, hoping you can share some wisdom with me! I've received what appears to be a standard response from both HSBC & Natwest along the lines of, we acknowledge your claim but until a decision has been agreed on the OFT case we're not obliged to do anything. What do I do now? Hang fire til the case is over or do I…

Partial refund?
Just graduated, returned home to find letters informing me I have £190 worth of bank charges... I was lead to believe that my overdraft would automatically increase year on year, but it stayed at £1250, so not only did I not know I didn't have any available funds, but I was being charged without knowing it... I phoned up…

Being Charged Twice for Bank Statements
Has anyone else been charged twice for the supply of bank statements. I asked the Abbey for these statements in February and enclosed the necessary cheque for £10 and was eventually supplied with them. Then I followed the routine and wrote the necessary follow up letters. In the meantime the Abbey took another £10 fee from…

Nationwide - let me in downward spiral
Hi all, I'm new to this but can anyone make suggestions - August Nationwide wrote to me demanding I pay off £500 off my overdraft - they say they were giving me 3 weeks notice - however it took over a week for the letter to arrive. At the same time they took over £200 in charges. Heres the best bit - they sent my overdraft…

Really do need advice - HELP!!
I'll try to keep this short as it is quite drawn out. I held accounts with Natwest and had 4 or 5 different credit cards, all of which were run without problem for many years. In late 2003 I was diagnosed with a terminal illness which had a major impact and basically I fell apart. My relationship broke down in mid 2004 so…

Changes to small claims fees 1 Oct 07
Court fees are changing from next week (Mon 1 Oct) to a new charging structure that will make County Court and High Court fees the same.
