Hello all, hoping you can share some wisdom with me!
I've received what appears to be a standard response from both HSBC & Natwest along the lines of, we acknowledge your claim but until a decision has been agreed on the OFT case we're not obliged to do anything.
What do I do now? Hang fire til the case is over or do I write again?
Any help would be appreciated

To be honest your probab;y best hanging fire until the test case in January.
All the major banks have signed a waiver stating they don't have to do anything until this case is heard.
I know how you feel I received the same standard reponse from Barclays in August. It's annoying isn't it?
I'm going try again after the case is heard. In debt no more!0 -
hi
the only proviso is if your charges are going to go beyond 6 years, if so you will still need to start court action or risk loosing those over 6 years.
Borgbaiterclaimed/settled - Natwest £2,535/£2,535, HSBC visa £80/£80, MBNA £1,258/£1,258, capital one £282/£282, tesco visa £515/£515, HSBC visa £140/£140. HSBC £1,450 MCOL Stayed for OFT case. Chelsea Mortgage charges & cashback £5000/£672. complaints with banks pending OFT Halifax £30, A&L £35. TOTALS £11,325/£54820 -
Thanks for your responses!
I'll be ok on the 6 year front (they're only 4 years old) and surely they can't drag this case out for 2 years? Or can they?!
I'll hang fire til the outcome then ... blooming annoying isn't it!0
