BT line down - SLA?
My grandmother's BT line was down for several days due to a fault at the exchange which BT acknowledged. She's asked me to look into getting her a credit on her next bill for the outage as she knows others who have been given the same. Is she actually entitled to anything?

I have a BT landline but have calls routed by Primus Telecom. Just had an email from Primus saying this service will be discontinued from 11 Oct according to my instructions. Free UK Landline Calls - no credit signup required
Ok, we've had bucket loads about VoIP, using your PC to make calls, downloading a software application to turn your PC into a phone, etc. It's all a bit crappy, if we are honest, and unless you are a computer nerd glued to your laptop 24/7, it's not very user-friendly. On the other hand, if all you need is a simple phone…

BT Line Rental + Sky Broadband Unlimited + Sky Talk Freetime?
Hi, I'm thinking about going for BT's Line Rental Saver deal for £9.49 per month (when paying 12 months up front). However, it says on their website that you need to make at least two calls a month to avoid a £1.50 monthly charge. If I then get the Sky Broadband Unlimited with Sky Talk Freetime deal for £10 per month, will…

Best way to get phone line reconnected?
The flat I live in doesn't have an active phone line (I recently contacted BT and although they couldn't tell me who the line was previously with, they told me the line wasn't active at all and I'd have to pay to reconnect it). I've never had a home phone before (apart from when I was a uni student but those were sorted by…
