Kitten Spayed - Vet Check-up Necessary?
Vet wants to see kitten in 2-3 days for "check-up". I asked what this was for. They ummed and ahhed and said something about seeing if wound was swollen or oozing. Surely I could check that myself? Feels like an excuse for another consultation fee... When I firmly declined the 10 day appointment for stitch removal - (which…

All animal lovers please help!
Please sign the petition below to help stop the spread of Equine Infectious Anaemia to the UK from europe. This is a horrible disease that is spread by insects that could lead to a mass cull of horses like the ones following foot and mouth disease. It could be kept out of the UK by requiring imported horses to have a…

This morning on my way to work, I had to walk past a dead cat on the pavement :( It looked like it had been run over as there was blood all around it's mouth. Stitches or Staples for Cut Pad? (Dog)
Hi First time I've posted in the Pet section, I tend to avoid anything to do with sick animals as I'm a wuss.:o Dog has cut one of his pads this evening, not the main central pad, but one of the "toe" pads. A sort of vertical split in it. He did the same a few months ago and the Vet stapled the pad together and bandaged it…
