Hi, I’d like some advice please. Not sure if I’ve put this in the right place! I had a prang in an Asda car park. The security staff called for the driver over the tannoy, took my details and the other car owner’s and we settled between ourselves. I paid for their damage. The only damage was to the cars. I have now had a…

Hi there, I recently returned my lease car and was a bit surprised when I was hit with a £175 missed service charge. After getting off the phone with them it turns out that the charge is because the vehicle should have had a service after 1 year. I thought it was 12,500 miles, but turns out its 12,500 OR 1 year (whichever…

Are drivers 'at-fault' obligated to provide their dash cam?
I witnessed an accident this morning and had to stop. The driver of the car 'at-fault' (in my opinion) had a dash cam in his car. I mentioned to one of the non-fault vehicles drivers that he should try to obtain the footage, as it will obviously clear up who's at fault. Obviously the police were called, as well as an…

Car clubs
Hello I have just had to let my 20 year old car go as it was getting more & more un-reliable & the latest repairs would cost far more than the car was worth. I live in an urban area so public transport provision is good. I always take the bus to work (approx. 30 mins each way) & have an annual pass. I only tended to use…

Breakdown cover renewal
My rac breakdown cover is due for renewal so I'm thinking of going with start rescue but do they have their own recovery vehicles or do they only use local recovery firms. I would stick with the rac if the renewal price was cheaper but what I don't like about the rac is they use local recovery firms after a certain time.

shpock so good for discounts
Bought a roof back OEM to my car for £25 (going on ebay for £80). I got a halfords roof box for £40 the 420L model. They retail for £189. I would have paid up to half that as it was in pretty good condition. But seller sold it to me for peanuts. I find that shpock tends to have a more of a "I don't want the hassle, just…
