I recently put a deposit down on a new car having got the dealer's quotation through them.

Apart from that so far it has been the same as buying any other car

At the end of the day they simply facilitate quotes from a number of main dealers who you'll then deal directly for the purchase of your car.

I think they're excellent for getting a price from a main dealer, that you can then use to bash your local dealer over the head with. I'm in NI, and whilst I'm not adverse to a ferry trip for the best deal, if someone local can get within a few hundred of the best, it's worth taking. Quotes I got on a new Renault Zoe ZE40 went way down after asking around. A good way of shopping around, and the dealers on it are very quick and keen, in my experience. Certainly quicker than driving round dealerships.

Also try Autoebid, Broadspeed, Drive the Deal etc
Autoebid was the cheapest when I was looking but all these sites are good resources for taking the wind out of the car salesman's sails!

I ordered a ZOE via Carwow as well

Local dealers not interested didnt want to traipse around, dealing with disinterested dealers.

In the end struck a deal with a dealer 170 miles from home,

Car was a Zoe ZE40 Q90 Signature Nav, (Battery Owned) The OTR Price was £31k - £4.5k Govt EV Grant - £7.8k Dealer Discount bringing it down to £19.4k on the road

Due to be delivered next month, already had a £20 Amazon voucher for Carwow as a thank you for using them.

Would certainly use them again to work out discounts in future.
