Cherished Plate Transfer
If I transfer my cherished plate from Car A (owned by myself) to Car B (also owned by myself), what happens to Car A? Will it be reallocated the original registration mark it had previously, or will it be allocated a Q-plate?

The Car Perry's Sold Us
Hi Just after a bit of advice. Basically me and my hubby bought an '06 reg' car from Perrys in August of last year - it had tinted windows applied, which we thought was a bonus as we were going to get this done on the car we intended to buy anyway. Then, the police pulled us over in December and the front windows were only…

today my car has died, the engine is kaput, its not worth working on, its an 11 year old daewoo with many dints and scrapes... dunno what to do, considering car auctions as that's where the daewoo came from 9 years ago, and it was a cheap car that has earned its money! I was hoping it would last out another year or so....…

insurance renewal and web quote
Was wondering, if anyone has any information about car insurance. I have a renewal quote from my current insurance company which is looking very good. However, I have realised that I probably should increase my annual mileage - although my car use is very sporadic and so hard to predict. Now, if I plug my information into…

They also offer a £200 5yr/50,000 mile servicing deal (parts & labour incl) which I thought was good? Any advice? Other than that, I'm not too sure what other…

A Fair Write Off Value
My wife was driving, with our elderly mother's, to a wedding last Saturday when our Citroen C5 estate was rear ended by a Land Rover Freelander. She was actually outside the church, having just stopped to let a car coming in the opposite direction through. All three occupants suffered mild to medium bruising and stiff…

This completely shocked us when we got the motorbike renewal quote from MCE, so I'm warning others - check insurance companies' paperwork closely! It's outrageous - do all insurance companies charge extortionate APRs these days?!

tyre trauma
Why is nothing ever simple? husband is away so I should really have expected my front tyre to go flat. Ambitiously I decided I could sort it out. Terms of 'Economy Return' train tix on Isle of Man SPC Route
Hi All I have a 'sail and rail' ticket from Douglas (Isle of Man) to Sheffield return, which is a route I take around once a month. Skoda Octavia TDi.
My quest to find a tidy TDi estate car for around £2.5K has been rumbling along. I've given up on Mk3 Golfs because they're too rare. Audi A4s are OK, but I reckon an Octavia from the early 2000s can be had for the price range I'm looking at. The 110BHP TDi seems to give quite respectable performance figures. I suppose I…
