buying a warranty for a 3 year old scenic ?

Nah. Save up the cash you'd spend on the warranty, stick it in a savings account where it will get some interest (I know with the messed up economy that's not much now, but better than nothing) and if you need any repairs then the money is there waiting for you. Bear in mind warranties aren't a charitable cause for your motor, invariably you'll put more in than you'll get out (hence how they make money), and they often refuse to pay claims - usually under a wear and tear exclusion clause.0

The bets warently for them is Renault own but you need to buy it before the old warently runs out.
IMo don't bother get the car serviced belts done if need be (no more than 4 years and 60k) and save the money0 -

It was because renault offered us a warranty that I asked the question.
I think they want about £700 for 2 years worth. (wifes car cant remember exactly)
They will still sell us the warranty now and the car was 3 years old in feb.
I am not going to take it but as my OP says just wanted to know if there were alternives and if they are worth it0 -
check out https://www.warrantydirect.co.uk
Go to the final stage, enter all your details, click to buy, then dont.... and sit back and wait.
I did this yesterday for my BMW, and today i got a call from them with a revised price £130 down and interest free credit.
Well pleased.0 -

It costs enough to be a proper renault warranty.0 -
I have a warranty with Warrantywise, they have been excellent to deal with from day one! I used a voucher code SG1009 which gives you £40 per year off, its still working as I just checked it online...
Might be worth a gander?0 -
As your manufacturers warranty has already expired third party warranty companies are going to want the first 3 months from you without pay up on claims to make sure they are not paying for an existing problem.
£350 a year not too bad, see if they will haggle a bit or put the money in savings and hope for the best.0
