The car will be used as a workhorse, covering 30k miles per year until it's dead. Any suggestions welcome, at the moment I'm thinking of a Skoda Octavia ( but not a former taxi hack!) or a Focus…

Changing to a diesel
I'm about to take delivery of my first diesel car and am slightly worried about differences in driving style from the petrol car. Tax - 6 months or 12 months?
Hello All I need to tax a vehicle for about 2 weeks, just wondering if its cheaper to do 12 months and claim 11 months back or do 6 months and claim 5 months back? By my calculations its actually cheaper to do 12 months because of the 10% fee applied to 6 months.... Does this make sense? Many thanks savingstudent

With my car (manual) when I press the accelerator it responds immediately but with the Astra I found it took…
