Should I move savings into one account before applying for a mortgage?
I am about to apply for a mortgage as a FTB. I have most of my deposit in my main current account, and a small amount (about £800) in another account that I very rarely use (it’s for savings only). Is it better to move the £800 into the main account before applying? Are there any benefits/drawbacks in doing so?
