Remortgage with fixed term contract ending
Hi. Would welcome some advise please. I am 19 months into a 24 month (2yr) fixed term contract (job before this was permanent). Job is not IT related. I need to remortgage and most lenders including my existing lender seem to want minimum 6 months left on fixed term contracts. By the time my remortgage can start, i will…

Barclays o/p taken off 2 mortgages rather than 1
I have 2 mortgage products with Barclays listed as separate accounts (but for the same property). I made an o/p on M1 (the higher interest mortgage) but it has been taken off both products. Is there any way to avoid them doing this, as I'd rather use any o/p to reduce M1 only due to the interest rate? Thanks

Hi all, I've been helping pay off my mum's mortgage for the last 10 years and we are down to the last £13,700 with 26 months to go (currently paying £530 a month). It's with Barclays/Woolwich and the interest rate is high by today's standards at 3.24% I'd love to shave off some more time/interest but looking around it…

Include monthly travel costs in mortgage application?
I spoke to a mortgage advisor at Yorkshire Building Society this morning. He informed me that we don't need to include deductions for our monthly travel costs (daily train fares commuting to London for work) in the commitments section of a mortgage application because their model already allows for that in the…

Mortgages for PAYE Company directors
Hi all. Proably a weird one this one. I'm 50:50 director in a Ltd Co. We've been PAYE for 3+ years now. No divs or salary. Done this as there are great R&D Tax credit advantages. However at Companies Hosue, we have a trading loss for the last 2 or 3 years although a healthy turnover and cashflow. My question: if I apply…

Hello Since taking out our first time buyer mortgage, our circumstances have changed. We have also purchased another car due to working pattern change.…
