Barclays o/p taken off 2 mortgages rather than 1

I have 2 mortgage products with Barclays listed as separate accounts (but for the same property).

I made an o/p on M1 (the higher interest mortgage) but it has been taken off both products.

Is there any way to avoid them doing this, as I'd rather use any o/p to reduce M1 only due to the interest rate?

Thanks

    Have you asked Barclays?

No and if you read my recent post in 'Mortgage overpayments not reducing term!' you'll see why I'm reluctant to do so.
  • Are you saying that you used the reference number (usually the mortgage account number) for M1 when making the OP and they applied it 50-50 to M1 and M2?

That's very odd. But yes, you probably have to ask them what's going on.
