Axa sun life with profits endowment ( Hercules special bonus 5yr distribution)
Hi all, Anyone else still have this endowment? Mine ends in June16 before the announcement of the Hercules bonus amount. I will still receive it as it is backdated to holders on 31/12/15. My questions are: Any idea how much it is likely to be ( what is value of remaining asset and how many policyholders exist)? Is it worth…

We're a month away from the end of a 2 year…

I did a silly thing
As in the title, I did a silly thing. Through not being organised, when I opened my help to buy ISA with Halifax back in Jan, I managed to miss the deadline to deposit the £1k. I did however start the regular payments of £200 going. If you're interested in how I could mess it up so badly I'll tell you; I waited a while to…

Wrapping my head around affordability
It never rains but it pours... So, o/h and I were slowly progressing a joint property purchase. Yesterday o/h was suspended under an allegation of gross misconduct. Likelihood of losing job - high. Letting out a property on a residential mortgage
I'm a first-time buyer and looking at purchasing a property in the near future. Ideally, I'd like to let the property out and, in order to get onto the market a little easier, I want to take out a residential mortgage due to the smaller deposit and lower interest rates. I'm aware this is a little shady and is not what…

Concrete houses - good or bad?
Today I received a copy of the valuation done by my mortgage provider and it clearly shows that the home I am looking at buying is of non-standard construction and is made of conrete that was poured in-situ. After looking this up I've read stories that concrete houses cost more to insure and are un-mortgageable. I don't…
