Hi all, I'm new to this forum and to mortgages. I just need a bit of advice please. My wife and I have put a holding deposit down for a Newbuy property and been offered a 95% LTV Santander mortgage fixed at 5.49% for 3-5 yrs. We thought that was very good and were happy to progress only to discover a day later a Natwest…

Mortgage Arrears following Redundancy
Hi all, A little background, I purchased a two bedroomed flat as a first time buyer in 2007 at the peak of the market with a mortgage from N&P at 5 years fixed 5.18%. Money Laundering Regulations ... Gone too far?
hmm... we're applying for a mortgage, and Nationwide are asking us to prove where our savings came from. What happens if a savings account had a lump sum transferred into it upon opening, is many many years old, and hadn't been touched since? Banks don't provide statements that far back. What if you saved your whole life,…

Best mortgage comparison site?
Hi, I am having some trouble finding the best deal on a mortgage. Obviously, if I'm saving money over 2 years but adding more on to the…

Capital Repayment inbetween deals?
My current tracker deal with Nationwide comes to an end in December 2012 so I'd like to fix for 2 years and having reviewed the deals will likely stay with Nationwide. Is it possible to make a capital repayment between deals? So I am borrowing far less for the 2 year fix. Obviously I don't want to incur an ERC.
