I have two standard life endowment policies one for £34,500 and one for £2,250. If I surrender the larger one would I still be entitled to the payout if and when demutalisation occurs or is is in proportion to the size of the policy?

Can you take out an Interest only Mortgage, for only a short time, with no investment to cover the repayment ? I realise this is not a good thing to do, but think the downside could be outweighed by the gain for my case.
