Pension v. mortgage?
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with some advice please? My OH and I currently pay £410 p.m. into our pensions and wondered if we would be better off using this money to pay off our mortgage? I reckon it would only be for 2-3 years and then we could carry on with pensions while motgage free, would it be worth it? BTW we…

Stay interest only or change to repayment?
I would like some advice please..... I have £150K mortgage. £30K is interest only (with poor-performing endowments), £120K on repayment. As the endowments are not going to clear the full £30K, should I convert this amount to repayment too - or just try and overpay to cover the shortfall? Thanks

Offset mortgage dilemma
We currently have an offset mortgage with I.F. We owe £41K on the mortgage, but have £30K in isa's and £28K in savings, all linked to the one account. So the dilemma is - do we pay off the mortgage or stay as we are, not sure on the best options. At the minute we are not paying any interest on our mortgage because we have…

Thinking of selling house, paying off mortgage and renting. Would I have to pay tax?
Hubby and I are currently deciding whether to put our house on the market to pay off our mortgage, debts and move to another town and rent for a while. We have good reasons for thinking this, which I won't bore you with. However, we will have a lump sum left after everything is paid off, and I need to know whether we will…

I don't get it. Am I being really stupid!?
Maybe it is because it is nearly midnight, but I can't work this out. My mortgage is £68100, and it has 22 years to run. I am paying interest and repayments and the rate is 4.79. On Friday I decided to overpay by £80 a month. I'm very excited that the mortgage calculator informs me that this will take off 5.5 years and…
