Vodafone contract
I'm coming towards the end of my Trust Deed (Scottish version of an IVA) this year and am looking at ways of starting to rebuild my credit worthiness. I've seen that getting a mobile phone contract can go some way toward this. At the moment, my husband has my mobile contract tied to his - was given it as an offer a while…

Final payment total clear-up question..
Good afternoon all, Been a little while since I last posted due to work commitments, but my wife and I are squaring up to our Creditors Meeting on 19 Apr, so fingers crossed. My qestion relates to completion terms as there seems as from reading posts on here, versus what my IP is saying, the two do not tally. So,…

Iva
I am in an IVA with a company called Money Debt and Credit. Everything went through OK last December. All our Debts as we thought were taken into account. How wrong we were. It was never explained to my wife and I that only the person named on the IVA that it was their debts were sorted not the others, even the Joint…

Cccs - iva
Hi I am at the drafting process of an IVA with CCCS. I did a lot of research into who I chose before applying but I wanted to ask everyone if they had any feedback, good or bad? Have I made a good choice? Are their fees really reasonable? How well will I be looked after? etc. Thanks

Another day goes by
I posted my signed proposals for my IVA last Friday and am just waiting for a date, hopefully soon! I cancelled all my DD in Feb, made payments via debit card and except for several phone calls from Egg, I haven't had anyone complain so far! Last week after changing my bank account I cancelled the DD's to Lloyds who are my…

I'd like peoples opinion on my poor treatment by IVA company
Hi Everyone, I dare say by writing this my IVA company will be able to identify me should they so wish. Over the last few months (due to flogging myself into an early grave) I have come into several thousand pounds of overtime. I am now in a position whereby the difference between what I owed on my debts and what I pay…

6 years to go!
Hi to everyone on this board. I'm hoping to become a bit of a regular on this board over the coming weeks, months and maybe even years so thought I'd just say hello. My partner and I are seven days away from finding out our fate in terms of our IVA application. CCCS have said we stand a good chance of it being accepted due…

I probably know the answer already but....
My parents are thinking of putting a property in France in the name of two of my sister, one of my brothers and myself and leaving my parents with a lifetime interest in the property to stop my other brother getting anything (he doesn't deserve anything). Do i need them to exclude me from this? They done live in England…

Hi all My wife and I are currently 2 years into our 6 year IVA. All payments are up to date, however my wife has just been made redundant. I have spoken to our IP who was suprisingly very supportive and recommended that we either: - Cancel the direct debit for 2 months (but no longer) while she looks for another job and…

Building Credit after IVA
Hi all, This is my first post so apologies for the waffling I completed my IVA in Sept last year and finally got my completion certificate in January this year. I have had a run of bad luck the beginning of this year (car exploded (new engine), washing machine and oven blew up!) and am currently paying my other half for…

IVA - QQ - not all debts included
Hi If an IVA was set up 2 years ago (and has one year left to run), but it didn't include a debt that was joint, what would happen if the person paying the debt (the one without the IVA) went bankrupt? Should the debt have been included in the IVA? (and therefore both parties making payments?) Many thanks

Halifax Mortgage 'Goodwill' Payment prior to IVA being agreed
Hi folks. I am just wondering if anyone can offer any wise words before I approach my IP with this scenario. We have been sent a letter from our mortgage provider, the Halifax, about the error in notifying customers of the interest cap since January 2009. Our rebate is £1,830. Now I have already looked on the forum and…

IVA held, need to reduce outgoings further
I had an IVA agreed 3 1/2 years ago and have 15 months to go. The problem is, I have not had a payrise for three years (and incidentally, I am a banker, so we're not all on massive payrises and bonuses!) and the cost of living is increasing dramatically. I have a company car, so business mileage is considered to be…

Debt Relief Order and being a student
Hi all, I currently have a very low income and am struggling to maintain repayments on my various debts. I have been accepted onto a university course, commencing in September but if I were to take the place, I have absolutely no idea how I would continue to repay my debts - my surplus income then would be even lower than…

IVA - New Bank Account.
Hi I am in the process of applying for an IVA and my paperwork is currently with the drafters. I took the advice of many and opened a new current plus bank account. This was done with Natwest and has no cheque book or overdraft, just a debit card. I thought Natwest would be away from my current credititors but I have just…
