credit reports

Hi All

Wee bit confused over my credit report

Story goes - Had a Scottish trust deed back in 05 (same as IVA)
currently have a vanquis cc which i pay off in full each month to try to rebuild credit. As its been 5 years i thought i would try for nationwide cc which was declined

Got my credit report from Equifax today and i now see that it will be the end of this year before the defaults fall off. My questions is a couple of them say -

start - 01/05
default - 09/05

insight last updated 11/07

What does this last bit refer to? do i need to wait 6 years from this date or just the default date?

Any help appreciated!

  • Any defaults given by a company that was included in the deed would have to register them on your file with the same date as the start of your deed and not after that date. So all defaults should drop off your file 6 years from the start date of your trust deed.
If a default has been registered on your file AFTER the start date then you must contact the company and tell them to amend the information on your file.
