HTB transfer failed!! Pop-up blocked
Aware of the deadline to transfer HTB ISA to Lifetime ISA in 17/18, I applied online early in Feb with my Lifetime ISA provider. The online application seemed to be submitted successfully. 3 weeks later, in March when I enquired of the status of the transfer, I was told that no application has been submitted! Apparently,…
Lifetime ISA - 1 year on..
So, I am sat here considering a last minute foray into the LISA market but cannot get the doubts out of my head.. Well, the doubts are those that come from the fairly negative press and low take up that has surrounded the product. My 72k of savings and investments are split as follows: - 20k workplace pension (total…
Last Minute Help - Move HTB to Lifetime ISA?
Hi All, Somehow I missed this (life has been a bit hectic in the last few months) and I only realised today that in order to get my bonus (as I don't plan on buying a home), I need to move my Help to Buy to a Lifetime ISA by tomorrow. Am I reading things correctly? Or have I seen something and totally panicked…
Closing 1 ISA and opening a new one
Apologies if this has already been covered.. I currently have a Help to Buy ISA and have a house purchase that will go through in the next month or 2, so this will be closed soon. My question is, can I pay into this ISA until it is closed, then once it is closed can I open a new ISA to pay into, or will paying into it in…
Slight Annual ISA overpayment!
Hi I had put 10k into a Coventry cash ISA this year. I then put 5k into a Vanguard S&S ISA. I just topped up the Coventry ISA with another 5K to reach the 20K limit. However........when I opened the Vanguard S&S ISA I added £30 cash for fees so technically I have invested £20,030 into ISAs this year. Apart from asking when…
Paid too much into Help to buy ISA
I needed additional money while abroad last week, so withdrew £500 from my Help to Buy, I returned it 3 days later, realising this may not have been the best idea considering the £200 monthly max. What will likely happen in this case and should I do anything to rectify the situation?
First time ISA buyer. Confused
Hello I will have £1000 at the end of the month which i would like to save long term and add £50 to £100 a month to it. Is a ISA the way to go? I do not intend in using it for a few years but would like to be able to get to it if an emergency happened. What ISAs would be most suitable for me? Thank you for your help.
Can I invest to two investment providers for Isa?
Hi there, Can I invest Isa to two providers ? such as £10k to Cavendish and 10k to Vangard. Many thanks!
LISA Contributions Gone Wrong?
I have recently transferred my HTB ISA into a LISA to get the extra interest bonus money for this tax year. This years contributions were about £2,200 into the HTB ISA so i believed i then had £1,800 contributions left to put into my LISA before the end of this tax year (minus £152 interest i had on the money in my HTB…
Am I classed as a first-time buyer??
When I was 13 my Mum died leaving everything to me including the house. The executors sold the house to pay off debts amounting to about a third of the property sale. Can I have a LISA? Am I a first-time buyer? Being a minor at the time, did I ever own a house? Can I have a help-to-buy ISA?
