Transferring a JISA into Halifax 6% JISA...how?
Does anyone know a) if this is possible, and b) how you go about it? My kids each have a JISA from 12/13 with Nationwide, but I want to transfer this to Halifax AND add this year's ISA allowance (and next year's after 6th April). However given that you are not allowed to have JISAs with different providers, technically…

ISA or savings? Partial tax year...
Hi, I've come here seeking a bit of advice... So I've been saving in ISAs for about 2.5 years, switching accounts each time to get the top rates and have been using up all my tax-free allowance and obviously it's getting near to tax year end so am looking at what to do next tax year.. My savings are for a deposit for a…

Confused about Virgin ISA 'Mature Date' and transferring
Hi, In 2012-2013 I consolidated a whole bunch of old ISAs into one ISA at Santander where it coalesced into one nice 5-figure sum. In June 2013 I was a bit late getting my act together to open a new ISA and when I did so, with Virgin Money (which had the best interest rate), I was told once I got all the paperwork that the…

ISA for one year, what next?
Hi all, Apologies for the (probably) basic questions here but just need to clarify things in our own heads. Myself and my partner are currently saving for a house deposit and currently have £4,500 invested in a Coventry BS ISA we set-up last April/May. As the intro rate is due to expire and we are still saving, I'm just…

Santander 2 Year Fixed Rate Isa
I opened a Santander 2 year fixed rate isa this time last year. Am I allowed to pay my cash isa allowance for this year into the same account? I am thinking not but thought it was worth checking!

Opening ISA for 2014/15
I've already maxed out my allowance for 2013/14, and am planning an ISA for 2014/15. I'm planning on putting a small amount each month, about £50, into the ISA then putting in a lump sum at the year end to max out my allowance whilst still benefiting from higher interest rates from current accounts throughout the year. The…

S&S ISA Question
Hi everyone. I have a S&S ISA with Charles Stanley Direct and I have not used my full allowance for this year. When I go to invest again next month in the new tax year, still with Charles Stanley Direct, can I continue to invest in the same ISA account or do I have to open a new ISA account with them?

Allocating excess cash after maxing out Cash ISA allowance
Hello, I have a £10K cash commitment due within next 12mths, and would like some advice regarding how best to allocate my savings until the commitment is due. I've maxed out my Cash ISA allowance for 2013-2014 year, and would like to lock away this year's excess funds as cash, given the short investment timeframe. Would it…

ISA help!
Hi, I've got £2000 cash to invest now. Shall I put it into my current cash ISA (the rate of interest is slightly less than one of the best) or put it into one that has a slightly higher rate but doesn't allow transfers from previous ones? That means they'll be split. I haven't invested anything for over 12 months.

No sort code - I can't progress
Sorry if this has been asked a million times before but I'm trying to transfer my Post Office ISA account and they don't have a sort code(or so I believe). As I'm doing it online I can't go any further without it. If it was a paper form I would just leave it blank. I'm tearing my hair out at the minute! Does anyone…

Online, 1 year max, transfers in ok ISA? Any good deals???
I would like an ISA which can be done on line, which doesn't last for more than a year and allows transfers in but they all seem pathetic with this scenario. None in the main site info cover this scenario. I have looked elsewhere but very poor.

Halifax ISA rates: 2.00% for 18 months
Might be worth a nibble for those who don't do 123 with Santander.. 2.05% for two years. http://www.halifax.co.uk/isas/cash-isas/isa-saver-fixed/ 1.55% for easy access. http://www.halifax.co.uk/isas/cash-isas/isa-saver-online/ I like what they've done online to save time for existing customers with a maturing ISA.…

Unsure of whether to use S&S ISA allowance this year?
Hi My wife and I have used our Cash ISA allowance this year, but not our S&S allowance. I am a cautious investor. We have invested in a cautious income fund in the past and are now considering another fund such as the Kames ethical cautious managed fund or the Investec Cautious Managed fund. However, I am nervous because I…
