Santander has lost my Cash ISA Money!!!
Rather serious problem for me. I requested that Santander transfer my Cash ISA from Northern Rock to itself. The transfer was requested in early April and I checked in my Northern Rock account to see if the funds had been transferred. My account had been closed, the interest added and the money apparently transferred. Week…

When does is it not worth it to have a Share ISA?
I have a Halifax Stocks and Shares ISA. I no longer contirbute into it (retired and 74 years old). I receive around 300 in dividends every year, but pay 40 in the annual charge and anout 2 pounds in dealing charges (I think because dividends are reinvested). When does the amount I am saving in tax outweigh the charges?…

Skipton Cash ISA - warning to current savers
Hi, I religiously check the rates I receive on all of my accounts . I was checking http://www.skipton.co.uk/savings_and_investments/isas/cash_isa/ to make sure the rate hadn't changed on my "Cash ISA" . Your paper statement will say "Cash ISA" , when you log onto your account it will say "Cash ISA" but in reality you may…

ISA Transfer query
I have an ISA coming to full term on , for example, 31st October this year with Bank A. If I have already used this year's allowance with Bank B, am I free to transfer Bank A's ISA balance to Bank C-Z (or even B) ? Basically, can you just open an ISA with a new provider ONLY with a balance from another provider? TIA Vigman

Can I move all or part of my ISA to another location?
Starting in the Tax Year 2008/2009 I opened a N/West ISA Plus Account. I've added to it in subsequent years and this month put the full 5,640 into it. Now I'm thinking it wasn't so smart. Why? I've just received a letter informing me the 'interest rates' on this ISA are about to drop. Having now invested my total…

Have I lost the plot?
I have an old Scottish Widows UK Tracker S&S ISA :o I use Trustnet to keep an eye on the current unit price but when I looked here today http://www.trustnet.com/Factsheets/Factsheet.aspx?fundCode=SWUKII&univ=O&pagetype=overview I couldn't see that information. I'm sure this page showed the daily unit price of A & B Inc and…

Nationwide Exclusive Cash ISA 4.25%
Just come off the phone from Nationwide as my wife was unable, because of the queues, get any details regarding our eligibility for opening this ISA with them Call centre very pleasant to deal with as they are aware of queues in branches and were willing to explain our eligibility. Bottom line is even though it is not our…

Getting up and running with a FTSE All Share Index Tracker ISA.
Hi Having done a little research, I would like to open an ISA for the FTSE all share index. The HSBC tracker looks good on paper with no initial charge and 0.27% TER One problem, in order to apply for this direct you need to have an existing HSBC account (which I don't). I will be looking to pay in £100 a month, possibly…

Beat 3.5% for 1 yr fix (need over £40k!)
Probably not much use to many people as not that many have over £40k sat in an ISA but hey ho, if its any use to anyone good. Just thought of something whilst reading the best ISAs article, if you have over £40k in cash you could beat the current top 1 yr fix (3.5% from Santander) by opening a Marks and Spencer 3yr fixed…

ISA Funds - Buy & Hold Strategy
I've a ISA + a SIPP. Each have similar funds and given that I moved everything around 2008, I'm up on a number of funds. Some are up +80%, +56%, + 75% I'm no expert but do I cash these in and take the gains, then drip it back into the same funds over the next 12months? The market is bullish and no significant drop just…

Cheapest Vanguard LifeStrategy S&S ISA
Hi, I am looking at opening my first S&S ISA and after a some research have decided to go for a passive investing strategy and make monthly payments into a single Vanguard LifeStrategy 80% Equity fund. What to do with matured ISAs?
I have two 5-year fixed-term cash ISAs from this and the last tax years. My plan is to get a new one every year until I have 5 open at the same time, and then use the money from each year's maturing account to fund a new ISA for that tax year. Is this a good idea, or are there cleverer things to do with a maturing cash ISA…

Fidelity Wealth Builder... not!
Hi, this is a bit ridiculous as I probably should know where to find this information! But I've been paying into a S&S ISA for quite a few years which was originally advised as my 'Repayment Vehicle' when I had an interest only mortgage. I sold the property but have blithely continued paying into the fund assuming it must…

Post...Or Hand in to Branch?
Hi All, Quick question. Have 2 completed ISA transfer forms needing to go to Santander. Is there any advantage in terms of speed to handing in to nearest branch rather than posting to address given on website? Or does it make no odds? Thanks. :)

Saving in two cash ISA's with the same provider......?
