Does driver NCD always expire after two years? With all insurers?
Hi all I messed up a little.... Up until August 2015 my partner and I had a car each, but we then went down to one car and have been like that since. She is the main policy holder on the current car. We do a similar amount of miles; maybe she does a touch more but there's not too much in it. I had planned to switch it at…

I am looking around for quotes and one of the questions is about convictions but not sure how to answer. I was caught on a speed camera and have taken the speed awareness course option. I am still in the 3yr period where you have to be clear of any speeding. Is this classed as a conviction? I don't want to declare falsely…

Taking out a new policy - do I need to mention claims that were never acted upon?
I'm looking at building and contents insurance for my mum. She angrily cancelled her last policy, after ringing up to report a stolen bike, which it turns out wasn't covered under her policy. So now she has no insurance at all. Do I have to declare this to the new insurer? There was never a claims process, so can she be…

Hi my son was convicted of drink driving with no insurance 2 years ago.(which he deserved) He was told by the court he was getting a ban anyway so the no insurance made no difference. Are all home insurance companies as unprincipled as the Halifax?
Some years ago I took out home insurance with the Halifax. They give you a £50 reward for being good! Each year they sent me a letter saying "Do you want to renew? - we'll give you another £50". Their service is so chaotic that I decided to look around, this year. Using a comparison website, the Halifax quote was £300 less…

Named Driver Accident - Policyholder Penalised Too
Can it ever be right that two people are penalised with an increased renewal premium and excess when only one has had a fault accident ? My daughter was a named driver on my policy. She had an accident which was her fault. The claim was settled, my NCB was unaffected. Policy came to an end. My daughter got her own policy.…

Employer's liability coverage for domestic cleaner
Hi, I'm looking for a cleaner but:* agencies charge a lot, pay the cleaners too little and pocket the rest indefinitely * I can't find a self-employed cleaner So my only option seems to be to find someone and pay them cash.
