Unable to get covered

Good evening,

In 2010 at 38yrs old I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, after quick operation to remove the offending article and 6 years of blood tests and hospital appointments I was given the all clear. (So thats a short life history over with).

This weekend my wife and I were sorting out our futures making sure things were set in place just in case......right up until I tried to get myself covered with life insurance. After spending hours on various sites filling in my details I would be flatly refused life cover due to my previous condition.

Is there anyone out there who could offer advice on getting life cover after cancer? Are the specific companies who I can contact? Or is this a case of me flogging a dead horse?

Thank you in advance for any fruitful advice.
