Advice needed please, yet another car accident thread.
Long story short, I was in two lane one way road when a driver slightly ahead of me in the left hand lane decides to enter a bus station (there are signs prohibiting this) on the right hand side, cutting me up in the process. I hit him in the side of the rear door and we exchanged details. He verbally admitted he was at…

Compare The Market - AA Marketing Call
I had just completed a compare the market quotation for car insurance and I got a phone call from the AA within seconds. I know you have just done a quote and we are looking for your business. The phone call was on the house phone and I had listed my mobile no. Don't think I'll be using that comparison site again. Far too…

Specialist van insurance for a musician?
Hi! I'm a 24 year old musician, and finding insurance this time round is proving even harder than usual. My renewal quote went up loads (around 50%), which I can't afford. I drive a 6-seat van, and have 4 years no claims on it. Does anyone know of any specialist companies I could approach? Thanks in advance! C

The insurance has still not paid out even though she is fully comp. She is seriously ill and been in intensive care unrelated illness but…

No Claims Discount Gone
Up until this year I have full no claims discount (14 years without a claim). However last month I was involved in an accident which has gone 50/50 and silly me forgot to protect my no claims. My insurer has now taken all my no claims off me when my renewal came through. I have read that other insurers may not have been so…

Adding named drives
Hi I know car types can greatly affect price but this seems slightly extreme. I have a 2005 ford focus 1.4 5 door and do 8000 miles. Im only 23 but had licence for 6 years with 3 years no claims. I do however have 3 points for driving with mobile phone and my insurance quote for year is around 400. My boyfriend is also a…

Long distance commuting insurance
I travel every week from Belfast to my place of work in England, by plane and train. My employer covers me for other business trips, but the weekly commute is not covered. Can anyone advise what insurance I should have to cover for illness or accident, or if the worst happens and the plane falls out of the sky? Regards Paul

Home Insurance, Exchange and Completion
Hi I understand that it is the purchasers responsibility and legal obligation, to have home insurance in place upon exchange of contracts. In our case the vendor has requested three weeks after exchange to find alternative accomodation. As part of our insurance quotation we had to state who the occupier is and how many…

Great car insurance result
Had my renewal for Admiral Multicar in the post - £548 (down from £660, which was my first policy at 25 I should add) for my car, £370 for my brother. A few minutes later, having browsed the standard comparison sites, I find Admiral quoting the cheapest at £458 on a single policy for myself, rather than the multi car…
