New gutter and soffit/facias - how much?
We were quoted £300 for replacement guttering and agreed. When they came to scope out the job properly, they said we might as well have the bare wood soffits and facias replaced so that they don’t end up rotting at some point in the future. We’ve got a bog standard 3 bed semi in the Midlands. For front and back, we’ve been…

Is it still worth getting solar?
Hi there, I'm new to all this forum stuff so if I do anything wrong please say. I'm stuck on the fence as to whether get solar panels installed on my house. Hi all, I had the above water softener fitted about 10 days ago. The water still is hard in all the pipes. The water softener has never made a noise like they do when regenerating. Our tumble dryer takes a couple of minutes to get going once you turn it on, load it up, turn the dial to 60 mins (or whatever time) and its almost as though its thinking about it, before starting? Should we be worried? We clean the filter out after every use, just wondering why its started taking an age to start up?

Replace or repair electric shower
I have an electric shower - think its a fairly basic one that has been there since I moved in. There has very occasionally been an issue with it not heating the water but this tended to happen if, say, the washing machine was on at the same time so I assumed it was associated with water pressure or something. Over the past…
