British Gas Homecare Boiler?
I was on British Gas Homecare 400... £20 a month, £50 per fix. My boiler is in a bad place, so they don't want to cover me anymore. Are there any other recommended cover providers, or should I just get a gas man every time it needs a fix?

Calor Gas fire
I am keen to buy a Provence Calor Gas Fire but worried about the "condensation issue". It would be sited in a large kitchen/diner and only used for top up heating when its very cold and if we suffer a power cut. The bungalow is well insulated, double glazed and ventilated. Any advice would be welcome.

Where…

toilet flush valve issue
hi there, i think there is a problem with our toilet flush valve. it is slowly letting in water in the toilet basin, in a very light drizzle, and then the toilet tank gradually refills itself every 40 seconds or so. I had a look at the valve and can place it back in the hole, however, i can't seem to do it in a way that…

Cooker hood question
We're finally nearing the end of our kitchen refurb and our builder tells us we can't have a ducted cooker hood (cooker hood will be on a party wall in a terraced house). Neighbour's Bathroom Leaking (semi detached)
Hi, I've just bought a 1930's semi detached house, I was aware of rising damp in all the walls before I bought it but I've removed the skirting from one corner of the wall that joins to my neighbour's downstairs bathroom and it is literally dripping wet and rotten. I suspect this could be caused by a leak in their…

Where to buy a window from?
The plonker who owned our house before us installed a large shower enclosure in front of the small bathroom window.
