Insulation between roof beams?
I'm reroofing a garden building and want to put insulation between the beams. Beams are 4" . With modern breathable fabrics under the slates do I still have to leave 2" gap between the top of the insulation and the slates to allow condensation to dry or can I put the full 4" of insulation in, touching the fabric? Thanks

What type of path?
I have an old concrete path around my newly rented-out house. The concrete is around 4" thick with proper substrate underneath. Unfortunately, it has had a further 2 - 3" of tarmac over the top of it. So, the whole thing has got to go because it has breached the damp course. I have had a quote of £650 to totally remove the…

After a lot of looking around in November last year I placed an order with Wren Kitchens for £4500 worth of cabinets. The design was what we wanted and the price looked good. I travelled over to their showroom in Howden and placed an order with them after chatting to a salesman. I delayed the delivery as I wanted it to tie…

Hi Guys and Dolls I've recently bought a new house, and am a bit stuck with what to do with the bathroom really. Here's a picture of the bath at the moment the rest of the bathroom is plain…

Boiler Flush
Hi I had a new boiler fitted last year which seems to be working ok. The radiators get hot but not as hot as I think they should. It's an old house so can get alittle chilly at times. Possibly Sold Ex-Display Mattress
I paid full price for an orthopaedic mattress from a local shop, and the owner promised me a new sealed one. When he delivered it, the bag was selotaped together, the thread had come unpicked form all around the edge, and there was a scuff mark on the mattress. For these reasons I believe I was fobbed off with an…
