Is there an editorially independent online subscription news service?
I have recently become increasingly frustrated by news content providers having more and more bias in their reporting, not to mention frivolous stories and advertorials! I have now decided that i would be willing to pay for a subscription news service, if it provided good quality editorially independent articles; finding…

Do Currys no longer sell SanDisk micro SD cards?
Need to get a 128 SD card. Have always used Sandisk as a brand and have had a look on the Currys website but they only have PNY micro SD cards. I only have vouchers for Currys, can no way afford to buy anywhere else as I only have the vouchers to spend. Does anyone know if the stores offer different brands to PNY at all?

Upright freezer for garage
I want to buy a larder freezer to go in my garage. It is an integrated garage in a terraced house but have my doubts as to whether a 'normal' freezer would work. I have read that Beko freezers are suitable for garages but would welcome any views from people who have freezers in their garage

Buying something from the States
Firstly, sorry, I have no clue which section this should go in. I want to order an item from the US that is not sold over here. The value is less than 6 dollars. The company says I am liable for taxes, duties and brokerage fees. I have no idea what these are and it makes my purchase sound pointless. Anybody have dealings…

Suing council for tree root damage
Hi everyone, Just wanted to gather opinions of those who might have experience in such matters. The roots of the tree in front of our house (into which we moved in Feb 2011) have lifted part of the wall which is about 2.5 meters away from the house at the front. Below is the timeline of the matter. Any thoughts on whether…

No third room at our house, need extra space
So to tell a long story short. There are three of us in a small 2 bedroom house. It has been our family home for nearly two decades. But now it is coming to the point where we are all treading on eachothers toes. For a short while I lived in a summer cabin or "!!!!!! and ran extension cables to it. It wasn't terribly warm…

Memory Foam Mattress Toppers
Hi, Not sure whether MSE Forums is the right place to post this, but I was hoping someone might know. A couple of years ago, I bought 4" thick memory foam topper - but its flat and useless now after occasional use in our motorhome. I don't believe it really was "memory foam", but just "foam". I need to replace it - can…

Joh Lewis After Sales
I need to buy a new dishwasher and I'm opting for one of Which's Best Buys the Beko DW603. Unfortunately three of my local electrical can't get it. They don't seem to be able to order it in! Which? Online offer best buy prices and the two Best Prices are Next at £206 and John Lewis at £216, not that much in it. We haven't…

Bbq
Looking for a decent BBQ... What do people think of the below? Ignore the RRP of £229.99 - this is misleading as its usually around the £149 mark by the looks of it. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2966898.htm Ideally want something which will last instead of just being fine for a couple of years. Happy to…

iCandy Peach 3
Hi there, I'm looking to buy an iCandy Peach 3 pushchair. Most places seem to sell it for around £670 (or £860 with pram). I think John Lewis seems to offer a longer warranty although it lists it as a manufacturers warranty. Is there any recommendations on where to get this item cheaper? Thanks. AMO

IATA new guidelines for cabin Baggage
In the last week, various reports have emerged that cabin luggage is to become a standard size of 55x35x20cm (some sites' sizes vary so is even more confusing!) We are just about to buy new hand luggage and I would like a decent ish make with a guarantee. Whilst all airlines have not yet signed up to IATA guidelines, it…

Samosas (lancs)
Whenever there is a birthday in our office in Wolverhampton, they bring in a box full of samosas, bought from a local corner shop, which taste fantastic and fairly cheap. Large ones with a mixture of veg and meat. Can anyone recommend a place nearer to home (wigan) that I could possibly do the same?

Best deal on a surface 3?
Hi all. I have £400 to spend and want to get the best deal possible on a surface 3. The cheapest I have found is with simply electronics at £359.99 but their website has very bad reviews. Microsoft offer it at a student price of £377, but I'm not a student and don't know any students. So the cheapest I can find is £419.99.…

best pushcahirs
I've been tasked with researching pushchairs that are lightweight and can be used for our impending child and continue to be used up to about 3/4 years of age. My better half would like something that reclines and allows for the baby to be pushed facing the parent as well as facing away. The pushchair needs to be…
