Thread for low spend Kindle/Kobo ebooks
I am looking to spend no more than £1 (perhaps £1.50 for a really good book) for either. Most of the free ebooks I have tried are rubbish for my tastes Not into fiction. Like bios/autobios, history, real life crime and humour.

Household scrap metal
I have noticed that the "rag and bone" folk in their pickup trucks no longer come round like they have been doing for the last 3 or 4 years. Strange as we used to get up to 3 different traders a day. Anyway, I have some household scrap metal like kettles, old PC, VCR, bread maker, and other bits of metal. Is it worth me…

Washing Machine vs Washer Drier
I need to replace my old washing machine and am tempted to replacee it with a washer drier. I have no space for a seperate drier. Will make a nice change from sheets hanging over doors to dry. In the good ole days, washer driers were notoriously expensive to run and inefficient. I wonder is that still the case? Is it worth…

best battery recharger?
hi guys, In an effort to cut down costs on buying AA batteries, I thought Id look into buying a recharger. I presume buying a recharger is more cost effective? Has anyone had any experience with rechargers? Which is the best would you say? I really only need one which can handle AA's and AAA's (but mainly just AA's). Thanks

New bed frame
Our bed has become very creaky so I think after 9 years we need a new frame, the one we have was purchased off eBay-it was a brand new M&S metal frame with really sturdy sprung slats and cost £90 delivered. Sadly I doubt I'll get that lucky again and as it was so long ago I can't find out if the seller still gets beds for…

Buying Paint
Where's the best place/what's the best bargain hunt for dulux paint please? I want a very specific colour but I am open to variations. Britax Dualfix or other ERF car seats
Hi - I was looking at getting a rearward facing car seat for my 7 month baby, and only have a 3 door car. I was thinking the Britax Dualfix would be best as it turns round so I could still get her in relatively easily. Other extended seats look like they are more suited to cars with rear doors. The only trouble is that I…
