How is this exactly calculated. What RPI is used. The RPI of the month before the renewal? So if the RPI for December was 0.9% and your rental agreement renews in January the rent should go up by 0.9%?

Implications for private sale of property with tenancy
Hi there I have a flat with a good tenant in it. I manage the tenancy. My neighbour is interested in purchasing it privately when the credit markets ease up. When he's ready, would there be any implications (besides the management issue) if I were to sell it to him while it's still occupied by my tenant?

Buying Ex-local authority houses
An open ended question really - I was wondering what people's attitudes were to ex-local authority houses or flats? They seem like a good option for first time buyers especially - bigger rooms, low maintainance charges and were made for living in rather than property developers out to make a quick buck! However, maybe…
