I am so worried about my daughter. She lives 70 miles away and is in terrible pain with an inection in her jaw and upper wisdom tooth. I can't get to her and feel so helpless. This started 2 weeks ago, she had antibiotics for a week and was told she needs the tooth extracting BUT it will need to be done in hospital,…

After seeing threads on this subject plus a couple of U Tube videos its making me wonder if I dare take the plunge and be a DIY hair trimmer. I do trim my own fringe inbetween going to the hairdressers as I don't want go just for my fringe doing but I do go for a trim when I feel my hair needs it. However, no matter how…

It seems these days there are so many products to choose from, how do you decide which one to settle on? Do you use tinted moisturiser or this new BB cream, if so whats the difference between the two? Do many people still use traditional foundation and/or powder, does anyone still use the cream to powder foundations that…

New dentist - timing
Hi all I'm hoping for some thoughts about the best time to change dentist. I have regularly attended throughout my life and have ok teeth, just the odd filling every few years. Jod boots rubbing my heel
My new jod boots have rubbed my heel, it hasn't bled too much but is a bit sore. I wore plasters but they rubbed the plasters off through my socks. Any tips? they are comfy other than the heel area which usually does rub when it comes to leather boots and it is my left foot that is worse.

Make up fix spray
Does anyone use the above, done a bit of googling and it seems that there are quite a few to choose from so any recommendations would be fab :-) normal clear skin, odd spot and dryness around nose but make up literally just disappears after an hour or two so anything to prolong it would be great. Thanks

Vertical fracture in tooth - does it need to be extracted?
A couple of weeks ago I lost a huge filling from my left upper 7 molar. It was not painful so I waited until my regular 6 monthly check-up. My dentist looked at it and said I had a vertical fracture in the tooth and I would have to have it extracted. I was quite shocked as I thought it could be saved. At a later date if I…

Dentists differences dilemma
I'm not after a diagnosis, obviously, more a "where do I go from here", but I'm giving lots of detail as it might help give some idea of why I'm confused. I have an NHS dentist, the practice is a large national company where dentists tend to stay for a few years then move on. I've been seeing my current chap for 2 or 3…

dentist advise please (thank you!)
I've just been to the dentist after 6 years absence. Yes, I know very negligent, but we lived abroad where we paid 50 euro's just for a check up, let alone any actual work done so generally if we had the money my hubby or 4 kids went. Anyways I seem to have gotten away with just one filling. The dentist also said I had the…
