Anyone else had NPower Quidco declined?
I've reached the end of the road with my Quidco cashback queries and support, they tell me there's nothing more they can do. I smell a rat and have decided to write to an NPower director so I wondered if anyone else was having the same problem. Have you been refused Cashback from Quidco for NPower? Have they been…

Southern Electric Cold Calling
I had a moment of madness yesterday as it seems I must have removed my brain just minutes before I opened the door to what I think was a cold caller. Advice on replacing oil with electric heating
I live in rural Scotland with no mains gas so like a lot of people here I heat my house with oil. Given the recent price rises (I'm expecting a delivery next week but have no idea what it will cost) and the likelihood of prices staying high, not to mention difficulty of actually getting any oil delivered in bad weather, I…

Is it cheaper to heat water in the kettle or on the hob?
I have always wondered this and can't find the answer. If I want to bring a large saucepan of water to the boil, say for pasta, is it cheaper to do it on the gas hob or in the electric kettle? I do use the warm water from the tap, and if it is in the pot, I put the lid on. I'm sure many of you clever people out there know…
