Electricity Meter Readings - does this seem odd to you?
We've been paying a fortune for electric recently (who hasn't right?) and some of our calls to the electric company have suggested that something weird is going on. Sometiems they say they owe us money, sometimes they say we owe them money - which would be weird as we've been on a key meter. Either way, we're sure…

Charging mobile phones, etc
We are told that charging our mobile devices (phones, ipods, game consoles, etc) use up a sizeable amount of energy. I spend a lot of time in my car and I use in car chargers a lot. Does anyone know if this is a cheaper way of charging your devices? Does charging in your car increase fuel consumption by the extra demands…

Why do they want to replace existing timer/thermostat?
I am having a new boiler fitted under the government-backed WarmFront scheme. I am very happy about this. I am less happy that they will be replacing my existing timer/thermostat with a thermostat in one room and the timer in another room! Surely, it is better to have the timer/thermostat in one unit? When it is in one…
