Charging mobile phones, PDAs, games, etc
We are told that charging mobiles and the like at home put quite a lot on your electricity bill. Does any one know how in-car chargers work? I know they charge your device from the car battery but in doing so do they increase your fuel consumption. Is it cheaper to charge in the car or plug in at home? I spend a fair…

dishwasher
Good day everybody We bought our first dishwasher a month or so ago. I wasn't particularly keen on getting one but was persuaded to because 'people' convinced me that, providing they were run when full, they were more economical than washing it all by hand. So far I have used it twice. I have always sort of washed and…

Southern Electric Change in Rates
Hi Newbie here ! I'm probably being a bit naive, but my gas & electricity bills from Southern Electrics cam in today. As expected each bill is split into 2 parts, one at the old tariff up until 24 August before the price rise, and one at the new tariff after the price rise. My question is - and I'm sure this has been asked…

British Gas Pp Price Reduction
Was everyone aware that British Gas reduced prices on PrePayment meters yesterday?? British Gas Rant!!!
Hi, we're with British gas on duel fuel, but no direct debit (we just don't trust them), anyway, when we have or meter read we often get a comment from the meter reader, 'do you know you're on 2 rate meter? you've got economy 7?' We didn't know this or really understand what he was on about and just paid the bills as they…

Just bought a flat at auction. What now?
Placing the highest bid was fairly easy. Now for the fun... :) The last owner binned the details (and also his mortgage payments too apparently!) Can't use a comparison site. We don't know anything about who supplied what and neither what the usage was. All we know, is 'It's just a small flat." and in the East Midlands…
